- Why did I get a message saying my web browser is unsupported?

- Why did I get a message saying my web browser is unsupported?
Due to the design of the user interface, most WebGIS sites require a browser that supports DHTML. WebGIS has been tested and is known to work with the following browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4 and above.
- Mozilla versions 1.0 and above.
- Netscape Navigator versions 4.06 and above.
- Opera versions 6 and above.
The following browsers have been tested and will not work with WebGIS:
- Konqueror (all versions)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 3 and earlier.
- Netscape Navigator versions 3 and earlier.
- Opera versions 5 and earlier.

- I keep getting a 'Session has Expired' message.
If you receive this message and are unable to view the mapping, your browser may be configured to reject cookies.
In order to keep track of what map you are viewing, what layers are turned on, etc, the server must maintain session data. This includes setting a temporary cookie. This cookie, which contains no personal data, is necessary for maintaining session state.
Use the instructions below to adjust the cookie settings for your web browser:
- Internet Explorer
- Version 7
- Click Tools > Internet Options and select the Privacy tab.
- Click the Sites button.
- Enter webgis.net in the address field and click Allow.
- Version 6
- Click Tools > Internet Options and select the Privacy tab.
- Click the Edit button.
- Enter webgis.net in the address field and click Allow.
- Version 5
- Click Tools > Internet Options and select the Security tab.
- Select the Internet zone, and click Custom Level.
- Scroll down to Cookies, and change the settings to Enable.
- Version 7
- Mozilla Firefox 1.06
- Click Tools > Options and select Privacy
- Click on Cookies
- Check the Allow sites to set cookies box
- Mozilla 1.x / Netscape 7.x
- Click Edit > Preferences
- In the Preferences window, expand the Privacy & Security section and select Cookies.
- Change the Cookie Acceptance Policy to something other than Block Cookies.
- Opera 7.x
- Click File > Preferences.
- Select Privacy, and change the Normal Cookies setting to something other than Do Not Accept Cookies.
- Internet Explorer
My browser status bar doesn't display latitude and longitude information
- Internet Explorer 7
- Click Tools > Internet Options and select the Security tab.
- Click on the Trusted Sites icon and then the Sites button.
- Uncheck the box that reads "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone"
- Enter http://*.webgis.net and click the Add button
- Click the Close button.
- Firefox 2.0 & 1.5
- Click Tools > Options
- Click on Content
- Check Enable Javascript if it is not already checked.
- Click on the Advanced button to the right of Enable Javascript.
- Check Change status bar text
- Opera 9.0
- Click Tools > Preferences
- Click on the Advanced Tab
- Select Content
- Check Enable Javascript if it is not already checked
- Click on Javascript Options
- Check Allow changing of status field
